Open your mind

Jut open your mind a bit maybe
There's a lot out there for you to see
step out into the blissful light
know that everything isn't just black and white

 Imbibe in the defining colours
 taste the world in it's distinct flavours
Just open your mind a tad bit
let the senses glide in and fit

 Listen to the whispering walls
the calls of the age old souls
don't shut your ears to the deafening noise
and the reverberating inner voice

Just open your mind to the knocks of reality
greet the world in its diversity
hither everyone is unlike the other
and back to different caves we slither

 open your mind and fill in the missing spaces
with wide arms embrace the differences.

  Have you ever wondered why you encounter  the question "what do you do?" more than "how do you do? " (Maybe an Indian thing of poking one's nose into another's life). If you are a married woman and a mother at that, you will get this question more often. Are we the darkness?

Are we the darkness shrouding the entire world? dragging it on with a harness; violently thrashed and hurled. What we claim to have created has been tilted and tossed, our priorities still unsorted, deadly lines we have crossed. Now we are too broke to undo the menace we have unclasped; No roads to salvation with the curses we have grasped. And we weep for ourselves  and worry for what time beholds. Flipping the pages of my old crumbled notebook I found those scrawny jokers embellishing my crabbed hand resurrecting old memories in my mind. We were best friends; perhaps born 'besties' "Un-goggled" nerds shouting out answers From the back bench; pushed to the corner By a fatso, engulfing two third of the area -a loner.
