Earth







I thought and thought
But let it park
For the earth itself-
is a big question mark.


Why does it go round-
around the sun?
Any intention?
Or just for fun?


Won't the people from Russia 
come tumbling down, 
and Fall in Malaysia 
and mess up the town?


How come the Earth started- 
moving by the way? 
Someone pushed it someday- 
and it just rolled away?


How does it move on 
dodging the stars? 
never collides with Venus 
nor with Mars.


Yeah! the earth is weird 
so I better stop thinking 
Before it drives me crazy 
I am giving in.

Flipping the pages of my old crumbled notebook I found those scrawny jokers embellishing my crabbed hand resurrecting old memories in my mind. We were best friends; perhaps born 'besties' "Un-goggled" nerds shouting out answers From the back bench; pushed to the corner By a fatso, engulfing two third of the area -a loner. We were the princesses of our imaginary world Where we had the perfect things and were the prettiest girls. In the real world, we'd just sit whispering,with narrowed eyes and a frown. Are we the darkness?

Are we the darkness shrouding the entire world? dragging it on with a harness; violently thrashed and hurled. What we claim to have created has been tilted and tossed, our priorities still unsorted, deadly lines we have crossed. Now we are too broke to undo the menace we have unclasped; No roads to salvation with the curses we have grasped. And we weep for ourselves  and worry for what time beholds.
