A better place

I wish people were blinded only by the glaring sun and not by the darkness lurking within; deafened by the throbbing noises and not by the wails of clinging desires. The world would have been a better place where all could find a bit of solace. If only people could open their minds than opening their naked eyes and see the whims of reality; If they could tune their ears to the silent sobs and not just to a jumble of words. the world would really be a better place where peace would be easy to trace.

Are we the darkness?

Are we the darkness shrouding the entire world? dragging it on with a harness; violently thrashed and hurled. What we claim to have created has been tilted and tossed, our priorities still unsorted, deadly lines we have crossed. Now we are too broke to undo the menace we have unclasped; No roads to salvation with the curses we have grasped. And we weep for ourselves  and worry for what time beholds. It's time to tidy up our shelves  and see how the next chapter unfolds.

The world ceases to be a happy place

My chest heaves with heaviness that's when I crave darkness  to dig deeper into a hole; into emptiness to free fall. If I could smudge with colourlessness and fade into nothingness pour down with the rain, even downwards through the drain. Into pieces shreds my happiness and I tread the hills of hopelessness. When it all hinders my life's pace, the world ceases to be a happy place.

A bunch of hopes

Like the birds shed their feathers, let's leave behind all the ill thoughts and fears. Past is just a chain of faded memories; future isn't a lane to foster worries With brighter hopes and heartfelt prayers, let's look forward to what the new year bears.

You all matter

" All humans are selfish " I mumbled scratching on my notepad gritting my teeth. " Oi,  I'm a human too! " My friend gave me a disbelieving look. " Yes, you, me, we all are selfish  " I said, zipping up my bag.  " We don't have a choice dear " she said, rolling her eyes. " Yes we do. To let live " I said barging out of the class.   My fellow classmate suggesting to dump all the waste in high seas in our environmental law class had got me on my nerves. I absentmindedly made my way to the ferry station. I, the insignificant helpless human took a seat on the ferry by the window, when the lady sitting next to me just threw the plastic bottle in the water. I stared at her for a second and shifted my eyes to the poster pasted in front of the driver's cabin "Save our home" was written in bold blue letters. A happy dolphin smiled back at me and my heart sank.  How do I save you dear ? The next day on my way ho...
